Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music program for infants,
toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and the adults who love them. First offered to the public in 1987,
it pioneered the concept
of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement. Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical.

How Many Children Are In A Class?

Classes are made up of six to twelve children ages birth through five years and their parents or primary caregivers. Classes are held once a week for forty-five minutes in which the teacher leads the class in songs and rhythm chants featured in the song collection for the current semester. The songs are presented through a variety of musical activities which incorporate:

   1. Playful, interactive ways to focus on tonal and rhythmic elements of music
   2. Small & large movement
   3. Free, expressive dance
   4. Instrumental jam sessions
   5. Use of props (scarves, balls, hula hoops, etc.)
